Brief

IXL Tasmanian Art Gallery asked me to create a series of product images that aligned with the visual identity established on their website. My role was to translate their existing brand aesthetic into a cohesive social‑media visual language, ensuring consistency across platforms while highlighting the craftsmanship and character of their products.

Process

Reviewed the gallery’s website to understand their established visual identity, colour palette, and tone.
Collaborated with the gallery team to define how the website aesthetic should translate into social‑media content.
Developed a photography direction that matched their brand identity while remaining flexible for ongoing content needs.
Created a shot list focusing on both full‑product images and detailed close‑ups.
Styled each product using textures, lighting, and compositions that reflected the gallery’s artistic values.
Captured full‑product shots to showcase form, craftsmanship, and overall design.
Photographed detailed close‑ups highlighting wood grain, colour variations, patterns, and material qualities.
Edited all images to maintain colour accuracy and ensure consistency with the website’s visual style.
Optimised final assets for use across Instagram, Facebook, and the gallery’s digital marketing materials.

Deliverables

A cohesive set of product images designed to extend the gallery’s website aesthetic into their social‑media presence. The final collection included both full‑product photographs and detailed close‑ups that highlight material qualities such as wood grain, colour variations, and craftsmanship. All assets were edited for colour consistency and prepared for use across Instagram, Facebook, and promotional digital content.
